Despite power play struggles, Blues edge Coyotes

Oskar Sundqvist and Robert Thomas scored as the St. Louis Blues edged the visiting Arizona Coyotes 2-1 on Thursday.

This was despite the fact that the Blues went 0-for-7 on the power play, and 0-for-3 on their power play in the second period.

St. Louis outshot the Coyotes 33-20 on the evening.

Joel Hofer made 19 saves for the Blues, who finished 3-1-0 on their four-game homestand, with only a 5-2 loss to the Jets being their only blemish.

Lawson Crouse scored for Arizona, who falls to 6-6-1 on the season.

St. Louis, now 6-5-1 on the season, return to the ice Saturday against the Colorado Avalanche.
