Terrell Owens’ son to transfer to Missouri State

Big time news for Missouri State Bears football: the son of an NFL Hall of Famer is joining the team!

Terique Owens, the son of Pro Football Hall of Fame wide receiver Terrell Owens, announced on Twitter on Friday night that he will be transferring to play football at Missouri State. It’s a big-time jolt for the Bears’ offense, who are in need of top offensive playmakers.

Owens, is a WR product from Florida Atlantic. During the 2020 season at FAU, he played in four games. Having just completed his redshirt sophomore season, Owens will have three years of college eligibility remaining.

His father played in the NFL for 16 seasons for the 49ers, Eagles, Cowboys, Bills, and Bengals. One of the most dynamic and charismatic wide receivers of all-time, Owens was a six-time Pro Bowl selection and was a five-time first-team All-Pro, and ranks in the top five all-time in receiving touchdowns, yards, and catches.
