City SC advances in the U.S. Open Cup with a 5-1 victory over Union Omaha

A crowd of over 22,000 fans set a new attendance record for the most fans to watch a U.S. Open Cup Soccer match and were awarded with City SC blowout victory over Union Omaha Tuesday Night as CityPark. Aziel Jackson scored a goal 3 minutes in the first to give City SC a 1-0. Then in the second Célio Pompeu sent a cross in the box that bounce off an Omaha player in the back of the net to give City SC a 2-0.

The scoring continued when Akil Watts scored the third goal on the 62nd minute then Aziel Jackson scored his second goal of the evening in the 65 minute to give team a 4-0. Omaha finally got on the board late in the 78 minute of the game preventing a shutout until, Eduard Löwen scored goal number five coming off the bench to give City SC a 5-1 win. The team will next head to Chicago and play against the Fire in the fourth round of the U.S. Open Cup in which they advance with a victory against the Chicago House 3-0.
