Nashville SC beats St. Louis 3-1

Nashville SC star Hany Muktar took over the game and led his team to a convincing 3-1 victory over St. Louis City, Saturday night. Muktar scored the first goal of the match in the 10 minute to give Nashville a 1-0. St. Louis City tied the game late in the first half with a goal from Nicholas Gioacchini in minute 41 which required a video review from the referee to see if Gioacchini was offside if he had touched the ball with his hand as he was going for the ball. After further review the goal stand and the game was tied 1-1. Then Muktar scored again off a penalty kick in the 70th minute to give Nashville the lead which force City SC to ten men after Kyle Hiebert was red carded for the foul.

Muktar scored his third goal and final goal of the match in the 74th which increase the lead and the final score of 3-1. His 13th goal of the season leads the league surpassing Los Angeles FC’s Denis Bouanga, Atlanta United’s Giorgos Giakoumakis and FC Dallas’ Jesus Ferreira. In only in his fourth season in Major League Soccer, Muktar became the 3rd player in League history to score 50 goals and 30 assist in a 3-year span. City SC still remains on top of the Western Conference but are in a 3-game winless streak which they haven’t won since June 3rd when they beat Houston on the road 3-0. Their next game will be at home against Real Salt Lake in a rare Tuesday Night Match.
