The Associated Press has released the results of its annual voting for the 2023 NFL All-Pro team — with three Kansas City Chiefs players selected to the first team. The Chiefs had no second-team selections.

The first-team selections were defensive tackle Chris Jones, cornerback Trent McDuffie, and left guard Joe Thuney.

Jones was selected as a first-team All-Pro for the second straight season. He was also named a second-team All-Pro in 2018, 2020 and 2021. The veteran defensive tackle needed half a sack in Week 18 to trigger a $1.25 million bonus per an incentive in his contract. He notched it when he sacked Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Easton Stick on a 3rd-and-6 play in the third quarter of Kansas City’s 13-12 victory.

He finished the regular season tied for the team lead with 10.5 sacks, 20 tackles, 29 QB hits and 13 tackles for loss.

It is the first All-Pro selection of McDuffie’s career. The second-year cornerback lined up in the slot 448 times this season, according to Pro Football Focus. The young cornerback has exceeded expectations and has made tremendous strides in his second year in the league.

Thuney, meanwhile, was selected as a first-team All-Pro for the first time in his career. He is a two-time second-team All-Pro, being voted to the teams in both 2019 and 2022.
