Dynasty solidified.

Patrick Mahomes and the dominant Chiefs defense has led Kansas City to its fourth conference title in five years.

The Chiefs, after taking a 17-7 halftime lead at M&T Bank Stadium, held on late to secure a return trip to the Super Bowl. They beat the Ravens 17-10 in the AFC championship game, ending the Ravens’ dominant 2023-24 run in the AFC.

Travis Kelce had yet again another historic playoff game, particularly in the first half. With his 11-catch, 116- yard and one touchdown performance, Kelce surpassed Jerry Rice to set the NFL record for postseason receptions, adding to his future Hall of Fame resume.

Kansas City’s defense also had a massive game, so much so that the offense didn’t even need to score after halftime. The Chiefs notched four turnovers, including two at the goal line.

Despite being in it throughout the game, Lamar Jackson and the top-seeded Baltimore Ravens could not get the job done. In the fourth quarter, Jackson threw a bad interception into triple coverage in the end zone. The Chiefs held Baltimore to just three points in the second half and secured the seven-point win.

With the win, the Chiefs became the first team to win a Conference Championship game despite being held scoreless in the second half since the 2010 Pittsburgh Steelers.

They will advance to Super Bowl 58, and face the winner of the Lions/49ers NFC Championship.

"People ask me what I do in the winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring."
