The St. Louis Cardinals have claimed LHP Bailey Horn off of waivers from the Detroit Tigers. Horn, 26, was 1-1 with a 6.50 ERA, 18 games, 18 innings, 13 strikeouts, and 10 walks with the Boston Red Sox in 2024. Horn made his MLB debut on June 29, 2024, against the San Diego Padres.

In Triple-A, combined between Charlotte and Worcester in 2024, Horn was 4-3 with a 4.54 ERA, 30 games, 1 start, 2 holds, 3 saves, 39.2 innings, 50 strikeouts, and 24 walks.

Overall, Horn has played 4 minor league seasons. Horn is 15-12 with 4.26 ERA, 129 games, 15 starts, 13 holds, 10 saves, 213.2 innings, 271 strikeouts, 119 walks, and a whip of 1.40.

Horn has potential to be better than he currently is. Horn can reach 95 with his fastball. It will be interesting to see if Horn stays on the Cardinals 40-man roster. The Cardinals roster is now at 39 players.
