EPISODE 2 OUT NOW!

The St. Louis Cardinals have been pretty uninspiring of late but that gave Scott something to talk about on the latest episode of Cardinals on My Time. The Cardinals had been playing shorthanded multiple times over the past couple of weeks, even though fans have been told that the 40-man roster is chocked full of talent. In this episode, I invited on two people that I have gotten to connect with since jumping into the wonderful world of Cardinals Twitter.

As I look to make this show become a sounding board for fans to talk about their favorite team, I was happy to welcome in Thomas Gauvain and Kyle Eden to the pod. I write alongside Thomas with Redbird Rants and he was extremely welcoming and communicative once I joined the team there. He does the research, voices his opinions and ideas, and does so in a respectful manner with evidence. Thomas and I had gone back and forth about podcasting, so I felt it was a great time to get him on board as I try to figure out where this thing is going.

Joining Thomas is Kyle Eden, another great person I had only connected with electronically on Twitter and Bluesky. Kyle is a lot like most of us, a diehard fan who wants the team to do well but will not give them a pass just because of their successful past. He expects the Cardinals organization to act right and holds them accountable. Kyle is very insightful in his posts, again doing the research and providing intelligent replies to the not-so-intelligent other fans. I was happy to have him on and, even with the nerves, I thought he did a great job explaining his thoughts and giving the true fan perspective on the current Cardinal mold.

Please make sure to follow the show on whatever platform you listen and do the same for Thomas and Kyle. As I said when the episode ended, continue to connect through replies, posts, and chats. It is always great to have a casual baseball conversation.

Quote of the week

"People ask me what I do in the winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring."
