The Kansas City Royals have re-signed manager Matt Quatraro to a three-year contract extension through 2029. The contract includes a team option for 2030. Quatraro, 52, led the Royals to a record of 82-80 with a .506 winning percentage in 2025.

Quatraro had his best season in 2024. That season, Quatraro led the Royals to a record of 86-76 with a .531 winning percentage. The wins the winning percentage were both career highs for Quatraro in his managerial. The Royals also finished in 2nd place in the AL Central and reached the postseason for their 1st time since 2015.

Overall, Quatraro has been an MLB manager for 3 seasons. Quatraro has managed 486 games and has a record of 224-262 with a .461 winning percentage. In the postseason, Quatraro is 3-3 with a .500 winning percentage.
