The St. Louis Ambush have quietly become the best sports team in the St. Louis area.

And on top of that, they’ve become the best team in the MASL in the process.

The win improved the Ambush to 10-3-3 on the season, while UCFC dropped to 4-9-3. It also marked the fourth consecutive victory for the dominant Ambush. It also marked their largest victory in 13 years.

The Ambush had 33 shots on goal, compared to just 17 for Utica FC.

Paulo Nascimento, arguably MASL’s top goalie, finished with eight saves as he pitched the shutout in net for the Ambush. Robert Kristo‘s hat trick and Will Eskay‘s early goals proved crucial to the overall success for St. Louis over the course of the evening

After the end of Saturday’s game, the Ambush immediately boarded the team bus to head to Wisconsin, where they will duel the Milwaukee Wave in just a few hours. Sunday’s matchup is set for 3:05 p.m. CST at the UW-Milwaukee Panther Arena.

The Ambush will be back at home at The Family Arena for two games against the Baltimore Blast next weekend. First kick on Friday, February 27 is slated for 7:05 p.m. CST, then Sunday’s rematch gets under way at 2:05 p.m. CST.

Attendance for the game was 2,029 at The Family Arena, one of the highest attended games of the season for the Ambush.
