The Cardinals beat the Athletics 6-4 on Tuesday night at Sutter Health Park. Andre Pallante (4-3) pitched 5 innings allowing 4 hits, 3 runs with 4 strikeouts, and 3 walks.

JJ Wetherholt had 2 hits with 2 runs, 1 home run (8), 2 RBI’s (22), and a walk.

Jose Fermin had a double and 2 RBI’s (7).

Yohel Pozo (4) and Jordan Walker (30) also had RBI’s.

Ryne Stanek (7), JoJo Romero (13), and George Soriano (8) all picked up holds.

Riley O’Brien picked up his (12th) save.

The Cardinals are now 24-17.

The Cardinals next game is Wednesday night at 8:40 pm. The scheduled starting pitchers are Matthew Liberatore (2-1), 4.07 ERA, 42 innings, 29 strikeouts, 16 walks, and a whip of 1.43 vs J.T. Ginn (1-1), 3.62 ERA, 37.1 innings, 31 strikeouts, 15 walks, and a whip of 1.13.
