The Cardinals have promoted RHP Max Rajcic from Triple-A Memphis. Rajcic, 24, currently is 4-2 with a 2.88 ERA, 26 games, 1 start, 3 holds, 5 saves, 40.2 innings, 46 strikeouts, 14 walks, and a whip of 1.11 in 2026. The holds and save are both career highs for Rajcic.

Overall, Rajcic is currently in his 5th minor league season. Rajcic is 26-26 with a 3.81 ERA, 101 games, 75 starts, 1 complete game, 1 shutout, 3 holds, 5 saves, 413 innings, 400 strikeouts, 139 walks, and a whip of 1.29.

Rajcic ranked as the Cardinals 23rd best prospect in 2025. Since being moved to the bullpen Rajcic seems to have improved. Rajcic’s fastball reaches 92-97 miles per hour.

Rajcic could end up in a Kyle Leahy type role out of the bullpen.

Rajcic will wear no.71.

To make room on the roster for Rajcic, the Cardinals have designated RHP Chris Roycroft for assignment.
