The Cardinals beat the Yankees 13-7 on Monday night at Yankee Stadium. Gordon Graceffo (7-1) picked up the win.

Alec Burleson 3(18), Nathan Church (9), and Jimmy Crooks (4) all hit home runs.

Burleson 6(77), Church 4(35), Jose Fermin (24), and Crooks (2)11 all had RBI’s.

The three-home run game was the 1st for Burleson in his career. Burleson is also the 1st Cardinals first baseman to have a three-home run game since Paul Goldschmidt on May 7, 2023, against the Detroit Tigers.

Burleson also became the 1st Cardinals player to have 6 RBI’s in a game since Jose Martinez on April 12, 2018, against the Cincinnati Reds.

Ivan Herrera picked up his (7th) stolen base.

Ryne Stanek picked up his (19th) hold.

The Cardinals are now 56-57.

Game 2 is Tuesday night at 6:05 pm.

The scheduled starting pitchers are Hunter Dobbins (2-1), 3.74 ERA, 33.2 innings, 32 strikeouts, 11 walks, and a whip of 1.34 vs Ryan Weathers (4-7), 3.99 ERA, 115 innings, 126 strikeouts, 33 walks, and a whip of 1.24.
