St. Louis historic unbeaten streak continue after an impressive 4-2 victory over Minnesota United, Saturday Night at Energizer Park. Newly acquired midfielder Rafael Navarro continues to lift City SC by scoring two two goals in consecutive matches like he did Wednesday against Portland.

Minnesota jumped a head early when Tomás Chancalay scored in the 5th minute of the match to give his team a 1-0 lead. But it would be the only time Minnesota would lead because St. Louis midfielder Daniel Edelman score in the 18 minute to tie the game at 1-1. Four minutes later right winger Carl Holse score a goal to put St. Louis up for good.

For Holse, a 27-year-old who was acquired on July 28 from Samsunspor of the Turkish Süper Lig has contributed four goal (two goals, two assists) in the last four games.

Rafael Navarro add two more goals in the 38th minute and the 57 minute to help City SC extend their unbeaten streak to 15 games and climb up in the western conference standings tied for fourth place. St. Louis will also try to win their first major trophy when the return to action on Wednesday, September 16 when they travel to face the Colorado Rapids in the U.S. Open Cup Semifinal at DICK’s Sporting Goods Park with kickoff set for 8:30 p.m. CT.
