Alec Burleson and Jordan Walker both had career years in 2026, and both of them have a chance to be rewarded for it.

It was announced Thursday that they were named finalists for the NL Silver Slugger Award.

The Silver Slugger Award is presented to the best hitter at each position in each league annually, and it is voted on by MLB managers and coaches (who are not allowed to vote for players on their own teams).

Burleson, now a first baseman, is the reigning Silver Slugger winner for UT. He is looking to win his second straight Silver Slugger Award after leading the Majors with 116 RBIs for the Cardinals.

Walker, meanwhile, struggled from 2024-25, but big time in ’26, hitting 29 homers, driving in 102 runs, and winning the Home Run Derby.
