
Missouri State score 3 second half goals and defeat the University of Illinois Chicago 3-1 on the road Saturday afternoon. Eighteen minutes in the game UIC broke to an early 1-0 over the Bears in the first half. Despite firing six shots in the remaining minutes of the first half none of them were able to hit at the back of the net. The Rally didn’t kick until the 64th minute when Adrian Barosen scored a goal tying the game at 1-1. The juniors very first goal of the season became the turning point of the game that the Bears needed. Six minutes later Jon Koka’s scored the game clinching goal which gave them a 2-1 lead.
Then in the 77th minute, Kian Yari added to the lead by scoring a goal which solidified a 3-1 road victory against an unexpected tough opponent, UIC Flames. The Victory improves the Bears to an 8-1-2 on the season and keeping them undefeated in the Missouri Valley Conference play while the Flames go to 3-6-2 overall and 1-3-1 in Conference play. Bears next game will be at home against Wednesday night at 6 p.m. against Southern Illinois University Edwardsville Cougars.
