City SC defeats Vancouver 3-1

City SC are back near the top of the Western Conference with a 3-1 victory over the Vancouver Whitecaps 3-1 Saturday Night at Citypark in downtown St. Louis. Eduard Lowen gave St. Louis its lead 10 minute into the game. The Vancouver player Tristan Blackman gave St. Louis a 2-0 game as a result of an own goal late in the first half of the game. Vancouver made the game interesting Julian Gressel score to pull his team to a 2-1 with City SC still leading the game. But 18-year-old Miguel Perez scored the secured goal with the fourth minute during stoppage time to give his team a 3-1 victory.

Vancouver Goalie Thomas Hasal saved 5 shots while Roman Burki finished with one save for St. Louis City SC. The team has a league high seven players with multiple goals this season and coming off a home when against rival Sporting Kansas City its third four goal win of the season. Atlanta United set league record in 2017 in their first season. St. Louis play their next home game against the Houston Dynamo on Saturday.
