City SC scores a victory at home over the Rapids 2-0

St. Louis City SC awards the home crowd over 20,000 at CityPark by scoring two goals and held on with victory over the Colorado Rapids Saturday Night. Tim Parker scored the first goal of the match in the 4th minute from a pass from Aziel Jackson for his second of this season. Jared Stroud scored his 4th goal of the season in the 11th minute of the match to give his team a 2-0. City SC dominated much of the game by outshooting the Rapids 20-9 with a 7-3 advantage in shots on goal.

City SC remains on top of the Western Conference while the Rapids fall to 1-5 in its last six road matches against first-year clubs and 2-8-10 in last place in the Western Conference. Colorado have been shut out in the last four straight matches and six of the last seven matches. St. Louis score their first home victory since June 3rd when they defeated the Houston Dynamo 3-0. The team will be back on the road as they head up north to take on Toronto FC Saturday Night.
