Goalie Jordan Binnington stopped 30 shots and all three shots he saw in the shootout as the St. Louis Blues edged the visiting Seattle Kraken 2-1 on Saturday.

Right winger Jordan Kyrou scored for the Blues in regulation time and Robert Thomas scored the shootout winner.

Meanwhile for Seattle, Jaden Schwartz scored for the Kraken and goalie Joey Daccord made 25 saves. Seattle dropped to 0-3 on the season with the loss.

INJURY NEWS: St. Louis Blues forward Pavel Buchnevich left Saturday night’s game with an upper-body injury after taking a big hit from Seattle Kraken defenseman Jamie Oleksiak in the first period.

Buchnevich, 28, played in just seven shifts and only had 5:27 of ice time before leaving. Not long after, the team announced that he’d be out the remainder of the game.

St. Louis improves to (1-0-1), after they lost 2-1 in a shootout against the Dallas Stars on Thursday.
