Illini remained in the top 10 of the AP poll this week by coming in at No. 10 on Monday.

The ranking is one below their 9th-place rank last week.

Illinois (11-3) are 2-1 in conference games this season, and blew out Northwestern 96-66 last Tuesday in a complete performance. Marcus Domask broke the 30-point mark for the second time this season, as he finished with 32 points and six assists. On top of that, Justin Harmon notched a season-high 20 points.

On Friday, the Illini had one of their toughest battles yet. They squared off against the top-ranked Purdue 20-4 after just eight minutes. Brad Underwood’s squad was down by 15 at halftime, but they stormed back to make it a one-possession game in the final minute before falling short in a five-point defeat.

Domask had 20 of his game-high 26 points during the second half in West Lafayette. Quincy Guerrier also stepped up with his third straight double-double (18 & 10), which gives him five on the season. Guerrier had eight double-doubles during his sophomore season at Syracuse. He was then selected as an All-ACC third-teamer.
