Second time is the charm for the star goalie of the St. Louis Blues.

Jordan Binnington stopped 18 shots for his 14th career shutout, and the St. Louis Blues beat the Washington Capitals 3-0 on Saturday night.

Binnington bounced back a couple days after giving up four goals on 25 shots during a 5-2 loss to the Capitals at Washington on Thursday night. The victory was Binnington’s second shutout of the season.

It was a much needed bounce back game for the Blues.

Brayden SchennColton Parayko and Jake Neighboures all scored for the Blues, who had lost three straight (0-2-1) for their longest skid since interim coach Drew Bannister replaced Craig Berube.

Before the game, the Blues celebrated their 2024 Hall of Fame class of Keith Tkachuk, Mike Liut, and the late Pavol Demitra. Former Blues player T.J. Oshie, a teammate of Tkachuk, took the ceremonial faceoff and got a loud cheer from the crowd.

"People ask me what I do in the winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring."
