Despite playing a man down for most of the match, CITY SC and played to a 1-1 draw on Saturday Night at Energize Field. Early in the match, Dallas’ Goalkeeper Michael Collodi earned a red card in the 16th minute after a one-v-one collision with CITY’s João Klauss ended with the CITY forward on the ground. The team took advantage in the 32nd minute when Celio Pompeu scored a goal to give his team a 1-0 lead. But three minutes later, Dallas’ Petar Musa scored, tying the game 1-1, after CITY’s Conrad Wallem lost the ball right outside of St. Louis’ box. CITY took a total of 41 shots, with 14 of them on goal over the match, but couldn’t the ball in the back of the net.

“It feels absolutely like a loss. I think everyone feels it in there, staff and players,” interim head coach David Critchley said. “We needed to create moments from those chances, and today, the execution wasn’t there.”

City SC has the second fewest points in the league with 22 points, while LA Galaxy trails St. Louis with their 20 points. City SC only has 5 matches left of the 2025 Major League Soccer season. Their next match will be next Saturday against Montréal at Stade Saputo, which starts at 6:30 p.m.
