While the UFL heads toward the 2026 season under new leadership, the St. Louis Battlehawks signed several key players in hopes that the team will finally win the elusive UFL Championship. The team signed Travis Feeney to make another run with the team. Feeney has been a major piece in Donnie Abraham’s defense; signed with the team in 2023, Feeney had 32 tackles and five sacks, including a couple of fumble recoveries. In 2024, he recorded five sacks, and for 2025 was named UFL Sportsman of the Year.

On the heels of re-signing Feeney, the Battlehawks have officially brought back Defensive End Pita Taumoepenu. The two-time UFL defensive player has made a huge impact with the team, with 27 tackles, eight sacks, 18 defensive stops, 37 quarterback pressures, and three forced fumbles to his name, which earned him the 2025 defensive player of the year.

Finally, the Battlehawks sign fan favorite center Mike Panasiuk. Panasiuk has been a key piece to this St. Louis offense that saw the team set a UFL record for rushing yards in week one, with former Battlehawks RB Jacob Saylors. In the last two years in the UFL, Mike has earned All-UFL honors – serving as arguably the top center in spring football. Having him back in Battlehawk Blue is fantastic news for this unit heading towards 2026.
