The Cardinals beat the Padres 2-1 on Thursday night at Petco Park. Matthew Liberatore (2-1) pitched 6 innings allowing 3 hits, 1 run with 6 strikeouts, and 3 walks. Liberatore picked up his 3rd quality start. Overall, the Cardinals now have 12 quality start.
Alec Burleson (6) hit a home run to hit the game 1-1 in the top 4th.
In the bottom 7th, Jordan Walker led off with a leadoff double. Two batters later, Masyn Winn hit an RBI triple to score Walker and gave the Cardinals a 2-1 lead.
George Soriano (6) and JoJo Romero (11) both picked-up holds.
Riley O’Brien picked up his (11th) save.
