The 2026 NFL Season will be here before we know it, and on Thursday, the schedules for all 32 teams were officially released.

Needless to say, the Kansas City Chiefs will dominate the primetime slot yet again.

The first Monday Night Football game of the season, for example, is set as two AFC West foes will face off at one of the loudest stadiums in sports.

Fresh off their AFC Championship Game appearance, the Denver Broncos will travel to GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium to face the Kansas City Chiefs in primetime. The Chiefs endured a rough season full of injuries as they missed the playoffs for the first time since 2014. Star quarterback Patrick Mahomes will be coming off a torn ACL and LCL.

Since the 2020 NFL season, the Chiefs have been on primetime 31 times, the most in the NFL during that span. This year, they play six games under the bright lights.

The Chiefs’ Week 5 bye week isn’t exactly ideal, but they do kick off the season with two straight home games. Additionally, the Chiefs have six primetime games, meaning the NFL seems to have enough confidence that Mahomes will be ready to roll in 2026.

Warren Sharp of Sharp Football Analysis ranks teams’ strength of schedule based on Juice (Vegas’ projected win totals for the upcoming season). This year, Sharp has the Chiefs’ SOS at 10th, one of the more easier schedules in the league. Meanwhile, Vegas projects them to win 10.5 games this year, despite the uncertainty surrounding Mahomes’ multiple knee injuries.
