The Cardinals beat the Rangers 5-3 on Wednesday night at Busch Stadium. Andre Pallante (6-4) pitched 5.2 innings allowing 3 hits, 1 run with 5 strikeouts, and 2 walks.

Alec Burleson 3(42), Thomas Saggese (4), and Nelson Velazquez (4) all had RBI’s.

Jordan Walker (8), Jose Fermin (1), and Saggese all had stolen bases.

JoJo Romero (16) and Ryne Stanek (11) both picked up holds.

Riley O’Brien picked up his (15th) save.

The Cardinals are now 32-28.

The Cardinals start a three-game series against the Cincinnati Reds this weekend (Friday-Sunday).

The scheduled starting pitching matchups are Brady Singer (2-5), 6.18 ERA, 51 innings, 36 strikeouts, 16 walks, and a whip of 1.69 vs Kyle Leahy (5-3), 4.25 ERA, 55 innings, 46 strikeouts, 22 walks, and a whip of 1.56.

Nick Lodolo (2-1), 5.20 ERA, 27.2 innings, 22 strikeouts, 13 walks, and a whip of 1.37 vs Matthew Liberatore (3-3), 4.35 ERA, 62 innings, 57 strikeouts, 23 walks, and a whip of 1.50.

Rhett Lowder (3-3), 5.40 ERA, 38.1 innings, 27 strikeouts, 18 walks, and a whip of 1.41 vs Michael McGreevy (3-5), 2.98 ERA, 66.1 innings, 44 strikeouts, 17 walks, and a whip of 1.10.
