The Cardinals beat the Mets 7-0 on Tuesday night at Citi Field. Dustin May (4-6) pitched 6 innings, allowing 4 hits, 0 runs with 6 strikeouts, and 1 walk. The start was May’s (8th) quality start. Overall, the Cardinals now have 23 quality starts.

Alec Burleson hit his (9th) home run and had 3 RBI’s (46). JJ Wetherholt 2(27), Jordan Walker (48), and Lars Nootbaar (4) also had RBI’s.

Ivan Herrera had 3 runs with 3 hits including his (13th) double. Burleson (17), Walker (15), and Nathan Church (7) also had doubles.

The Cardinals are now 36-28.
