History was made, as the Jayhawks once again are National Champions!

Kansas pulled off the biggest comeback in men’s national championship game history to beat North Carolina, 72-69, and win the 2022 NCAA tournament.

It was an unforgettable comeback that’ll etch its place in the history of sports forever.

North Carolina had scored 16 straight points late in the first half to open a 40-25 advantage at the break, but top-seeded KU (34-6) went on a 31-10 run over the opening 10 minutes of the second to take a six-point lead and set up the wild finish.

David McCormack‘s basket with 22 seconds left put Kansas up by three, and the Jayhawks never looked back from there.

North Carolina was trying to join 1985 Villanova as only the second 8 seed to win March Madness, but they couldn’t keep their first half momentum. Caleb Love, however, had yet another phenomenal game, and Aramando Bacot had 15 points and 15 rebounds to become the first player to record double-doubles in all six tournament games.

But when it was all said and done, the Kansas Jayhawks are YOUR 2022 Men’s NCAA Basketball Champions
