
The St. Louis Battlehawks begin their 2024 season it hopes to play as the city host when the UFL Championship Game is played in St. Louis. The Battlehawks are one of 8 teams playing in the new unified UFL from teams from the XFL and USFL. A.J. McCarron returns as Quarterback for the Battlehawks after briefly serving as a backup with the Cincinnati and leading the XFL in passing yardages. Also returning is Wide Receiver Hakeem Nicks who was one of the leading receivers in the XFL. Last year the team finished with a winning record at 7-3 but missed the post-season. Battlehawks coach Anthony Becht hopes McCarron’s experience with the team and new members of the offense gives the team a little add fire power after they and missed the playoffs in 2023 despite finishing 7-3.
