Everything that could go right did on Easter Sunday for the Kansas City Royals.

Five different Royals homered, and Brady Singer struck out 10 over seven shutout innings as the Kansas City Royals blasted the Minnesota Twins 11-0 on Sunday afternoon in Kauffman Stadium.

In the first inning, Salvador Perez launched a three-run shot for Kansas City to give them an early 3-0 lead. Kyle Isbel and Maikel Garcia followed that with back-to-back homers to begin the second. It was Garcia’s second home run of the year after a leadoff home run in Thursday’s Opening Day loss.

Bobby Witt Jr. scored three runs, hit a triple, and a solo home run on the day. Witt Jr. already has five extra base hits on the young season.

Nelson Velazquez drilled a first-pitch solo homer with one out in the sixth.

On the mound, Singer took care of the rest, as the Twins didn’t have an answer for anything offered up by the young righthander. Meanwhile, Bailey Ober (0-1) surrendered eight runs on nine hits while recording just four outs on the outing.

The most alarming stat so far?

Royals starters up to this point:

*19 IPs
*23 Ks
*10 Hits
*5 BBs
*0.94 ERA

From arguably the league’s worst rotation last season is off to a hot start this season!

"People ask me what I do in the winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring."
