The Cardinals beat the Rockies 7-6 on Friday night at Coors Field. Cade Winquest (1-0) picked up the win. The win is Winquest’s 1st in his MLB career.

Ivan Herrera hit his (15th) home run.

Nolan Gorman (28), Thomas Saggese (11), Alec Burleson (102), Jordan Walker (100), and Herrera 3(59), all had RBI’s. Walker is also the 1st Cardinals homegrown outfielder to reach 100 RBI’s since Ray Lankford (105) in 1998.

Walker (19), Saggese (2), and Nathan Church (10) all had stolen bases.

Riley O’Brien picked up his (36th) save.

The Cardinals are now 71-71.

Game 2 is Saturday night at 7:10 pm.

The scheduled starting pitchers are Matthew Liberatore (5-13), 5.41 ERA, 134.2 innings, 141 strikeouts, 47 walks, and a whip of 1.47 vs Mason Adams (0-0), 3.00 ERA, 9 innings, 10 strikeouts, 5 walks, and a whip of 1.44.
