The Cardinals beat the Mets 9-2 on Wednesday night at Citi Field. Andre Pallante (7-4) pitched 6 innings, allowing 3 hits, 2 runs (1 home run), 5 strikeouts, and 2 walks. The start was Pallante’s (4th) quality start. Overall, the Cardinals now have 24 quality starts.

Nelson Velazquez (2), Jordan Walker (17), and Alec Burleson (10) all hit home runs. Walker also has a new career high in both home runs and RBI’s (52).

Masyn Winn had his (6th) stolen base.

The Cardinals are now 37-28.

Game 3 is Thursday afternoon at 12:10 pm.

The scheduled starting pitchers are Hunter Dobbins (1-0), 2.77 ERA. 13 innings, 14 strikeouts, 7 walks, and a whip of 1.31 vs Christian Scott (2-0), 2.50 ERA, 36 innings, 41 strikeouts, 18 walks, and a whip of 1.31.
